NEED SOME MILES IN THE LOGBOOK?
Our Mile Builders will suit any sailing enthusiast seeking a few days and nights at sea under the watchful eye of an RYA Instructor. Away from the immediate protection of the coast, a crew will experience the fresh challenges of offshore sailing. Combined with night sailing and following the discipline of a watch system, Mile Builders offer a broader sailing experience, ideal for mile building for the Yachtmaster qualification, confidence building or just extending your cruising experience. They are also suitable for those wishing to acquire their RYA Competent Crew, RYA Day Skipper or RYA Coastal Skipper certificates.
7 DAY MILE BUILDERS
Monday morning is spent getting familiarised with the yacht, taking the helm and practicing some close quarter manouvers on the River Dart. We normally set sail after lunch.
We then travel over 300 miles experiencing a variety of sailing conditions. We aim to include three 60 mile Yachtmaster qualifying passages, two overnight sails, a shipping lane crossing and a possible chance to visit: The Isles of Scilly; The Channel Isles or St. Malo in France.
Obviously if you are keen to actually skipper the yacht, we can only offer three skippered passages, so please contact the office as this is allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
