READY TO START SKIPPERING COASTAL PASSAGES? GET YOUR RYA COASTAL SKIPPER QUALIFICATION
The aim of the RYA Coastal Skipper course is to teach the skills and techniques required to skipper a yacht safely on coastal passages by day and night. The course covers a number of areas, navigation, passage planning, preparing for sea, pilotage, yacht handling under power and sail, IRPCS, meteorology, sailing in adverse weather and dealing with emergencies. Many of which help improve yacht leadership skills.

All year round – • 7 Days (Sun 5:30pm - Sun 3:00pm) • 5 Days (Sun 5:30pm - Fri 3:00pm)
SUGGESTED PRE COURSE EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
We recommend you undertake the minimum sea time as stated in the RYA cruising logbook: 15 days (2 as skipper), 300 miles and 8 night hours. To achieve this you may find it convenient to join us on one of our Revision Courses, Mile builders or even Adventure Sailing.
AND WHEN I FINISH?
You will be able to skipper coastal passages safely and confidently.
